Best Black Bean Soup

A black bean soup recipe with a little salsa and chili powder to spice things up. Try topping with shredded cheese and sour cream to cool things back down.

  • 2 (15 ounce) cans BUSH'S® Black Beans, undrained
  • 1 (16 ounce) can reduced sodium chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • Shredded cheese (optional)
  • Sour cream (optional)
  • Chopped onion (optional)
  • Cilantro (optional)
 
  1. Mash one can of beans with potato masher or food processor. Pour both cans of beans into medium saucepan. Add chicken broth, salsa, and chili powder. Bring to a boil. If desired top with shredded cheese, sour cream, onion, and cilantro.

OMG so easy and so satisfying. I followed the directions completely and topped with dried cilantro and sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese and guacamole. Very good:)

I followed the directions as written. This soup is very good and sooooooo simple to make. The only change I would make for next time is to add more beans (drained). I like mine a little less soupy.
