Red Hot Buffalo Wing Beans

Pinto beans with the zesty flavor of Buffalo wings are a great side to spice up grilled chicken.

  • 1 (16 ounce) can BUSH'S® Pinto Beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup celery, small dice
  • 1/4 cup red hot buffalo wing sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Ranch dressing
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
 
  1. Drain beans and place in medium non-stick skillet.
  2. Add diced celery, mix well.
  3. Stir in 1/4 cup red hot buffalo wing sauce.
  4. Stir in Ranch dressing and let simmer 10-15 minutes.
  5. Serve over grilled or fried chicken, or as a side dish.

I love the underlying flavor and the concept, however it is WAY too salty. I will try this again using either home cooked beans or if I can find them, salt-free canned beans. Personally, I think the celery should be added at the end, so that it is still crispy crunchy, and to further emulate the Buffalo wings concept.

Made this exactly as listed and it was a huge hit with both husband and teenage son. I was pleasantly surprised ... love the texture of the celery and the creaminess of the buffalo/ranch combination. I served it over Tyson frozen grilled chicken filets (I added buffalo wing sauce to the chicken before baking as well) with homemade crusty bread for a quick and easy meal. Will definitely be making this one again.

I made used blue cheese dressing instead of ranch. This came out good. Just the right amount of kick. I think the celery adds to the texture and flavor.
