  • 1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 (16 ounce) cans baked beans with pork
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can butter beans, drained
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar

  4. Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven until thick and bubbly, about 2 hours.

My wife's family loved this dish. The only change is that I omitted the mushrooms and added some ground beef. I added the onions to the ground beef while browning. I increased all other ingredients to make up for the added gound beef. I used a slow cooker which turned out absolutely wonderful and will be making this again many times over!

I enjoyed the beans and so did my family. I would definitely recommend the recipe to others and will make it again this summer. I really liked the onions cooked in the bacon grease. I browned the onions nicely and they added a lot of flavor to the dish.

This is the best! I usually use fresh mushrooms. I also only bake it for about an hour and sometimes do it in my slow cooker on low for about 3 hours. I've been asked for this recipe so many times. And I like that it's an easy recipe to have all the ingredients already in your home.
