Quick and easy drop biscuits that taste great with butter and jam or plain with sausage and gravy.

Very easy and delicious! I also omitted the extra cream of tartar and added some shredded parmesan & asiago. Next time, I would add some garlic flavor, and they would be perfect!

Omitted the cream of tartar as recommended by others - turned out very fluffy and moist. Next time might add some cheese and brush with garlic butter for more flavor and better color

At first I was baffled that they didn't look like they were done. But they were! I thought oh no!!!! But everyone loved them and ate them up. While they don't look light and fluffy they are! Great recipe exactly like it is written.

Delicious! We ate them with sausage gravy for dinner, and the only one left was eaten without any added flavors. It was a delectable light, and airy biscuit.

These biscuits are perfect! I omitted the cream of tartar. I mixed the butter and milk together and added them both into the flour mix. I added the milk/butter mix a bit at a time and found that I got a good consistancy when there was still about 1/3 of a cup left, so I did not use the rest. May only use 3/4 of a cup of milk the next time. I made larger biscuits (got 7 out of the recipe...LOL), so they took about 20 minutes to cook instead of the regular time. These were perfect and went great with stew! But they also would taste great on their own with some butter! A keeper!

Followed the recipe exactly and came out with light, flaky, and tasty biscuits! Preparing them couldn't have been easier. I will definitely make these again, and perhaps add shredded cheese as suggested.

These were OK. A little too crunchy and bland tasting for though.

These biscuits were very easy! And the cook time and serving size were right on. But I didn't care for them... They tasted too much of baking powder for us. Maybe lots of herbs or seasonings would help to hide it? Thanks for sharing, Angela.

Solid drop biscuit recipe. Skip the cream of tartar though. It is uneccessary and flavor is better without it. Also note that if you make larger biscuits, cook time moves to 12 - 16 min. These are great for strawberry shortcakes as well. Add an extra tsp of sugar to sweeten the biscuit a bit more for desserts.

So simple, so easy, definitely a keeper. I made this for a biscuit topping for a chicken casserole. Amazing. It can easily be spiced it up a bit with different herbs and/or cheeses to suit the pallet - but overall its Fantabulous!

These were quite fast and delicious! I did sub white whole wheat flour for the all purpose and did not add the cream of tartar. I served these with chicken noodle soup from this website and they were very good!

I cut the recipe in half, made 4 biscuits. I omitted the sugar & tartar, and added 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese, 1/2 teas. freshly ground black pepper, 1/4 teas. of Tony Chachere's original creole seasoning and a pinch of finely crushed rosemary. Wow!

This recipe didn't work for me. I don't think I ended up with the desired texture of dough - It started off very liquidy and took a lot of stirring and a minute or so of letting it sit to get firm enough for me to drop on the pan. It never really rose to anything more than what looked like a cookie, and at the point that I had to take it out to avoid burning the bottom, the top was very pale. The taste was okay, but I'd have definitely preferred the big puffy biscuit I see in others' pictures. I reread the recipe and am sure I did nothing wrong, so I don't know how I got such different results from other reviewers...
