To. Die. For. This recipe is amazing and easy. I've made it several times. Don't skimp on the bacon. Get a brand you love. It really makes a difference.

Just had this soup at my neighbor's house. Absolutely delicious! Who says you can't have soup in the middle of summer?

This was absolutely delicious! I don't think it needed the parmesan and fried onion rings added on top. Was great without it.

This soup is delicious! Easy and quick, too. I used Applewood bacon and it added a great smoky flavor as well as a sort of classy/unique/dinner party-worthy element.

This is my all time favorite soup! I cut down the beans a little and add more bacon. Everyone I make this for wants the recipe! I highly recommend this to everyone!

This is a great winter meal. I'm making it AGAIN tonight...we're in the middle of a snow storm! The only change to this is that I use water and chicken boullion cubes and I used black beans, red kidney beans, and black-eyed peas. A very good soup.

I picked this recipe because I had a lot of canned beans in my pantry, and it is a real keeper. I did make a few additions. I added a quart of canned tomatoes in addition to the sun-dried ones, and I used some Mrs. Dash seasoning to add a little bit of punch instead of the red pepper flakes. I also used a box of frozen spinach, because that is what I had on hand, and it turned out great. My husband loved it, the true test of any recipe that I prepare, so it will go into the recipe box.
