This is a great chicken marinade! Allow chicken to marinate for no longer than 4 hours, because the lemon juice will begin to cook the chicken. When grilled, the chicken turns a beautiful caramel color, which makes great presentation. This is my fiance's favorite chicken.

This is outstanding. The only thing I didn't add was the liquid smoke.

So easy and delicious. Family couldn't stop talking about how good and juicy it was. The Liquid Smoke was just the right touch to give it a great smokey flavor! I will be using a touch of liquid smoke in other marinades!

This chicken has great flavor and has a nice caramelized brown color. I always make more than one meals worth and use the left overs for tacos, enchiladas, etc.

I made a lot of this chicken for a party and there wasn't a bite left! I wouldn't change a thing.

Delicious marinade. I used this on pork chops and they turned out amazing. One little tip to conserve ingredients: by halving the recipe, you'll still get about a cup of marinade, which is plenty for 4 chicken breasts.

Chicken turned out moist and looked great, and all the ingredients were ones that I always have on hand.

Amazing! I followed the recipe exactly and it was delicious! I used this on chicken drumsticks that we grilled (using our propane grill). I will use this again and again! The leftovers were terrific the following day too!

Pretty good. I would use no sodium soy sauce next time since it was a bit salty. Think I may experiement with a few more chicken marinades.

I never thought I'd find find such a different recipe after cooking for many, many years. It really is delicious and easy to make. I do cut down on the oil and liquid smoke. I use half of what's called for just because it seemed like too much to me. It might be even better with full amounts but I like it the way I make it. I've gotten rave reviews from picky eaters including my 4 YO grandson and my 88 YO mother. Thanks so much for a great, original recipe!

Great recipe! I made the mistake of using regular soy sauce the first time I tried this recipe- way too salty! But when I made it again using the low sodium it was perfect. I made this chicken for a family cookout and everyone loved it!!

Ever since I found this recipe, I have made it every week and no one in the family has gotten tired of it! I try to make extra chicken so there are leftovers, but it doesn't last more than a day in our house.

Excellent. I left the chicken marinating for 2 days in the fridge (not necessarily recommended, but I forgot about it). It was absolutely awesome! The recipe makes alot, so I used half and the other half I kept in the fridge for use later.

Yum! We loved this recipe, I've made it twice; and while it is saltier with regular soy sauce - we liked it that way! We ate it once with baked potatoes and corn on the cob, and the second time sliced over salad. Great recipe - LOVE it!

Loved this marinade! It makes very flavorful chicken after only a few hours in the refrigerator - didn't need any type of condiment with it! I followed the recipe exactly and did not make any changes.

So good! I made a few substitutions.. and it was a winner! I only added about 1 tsp. of liqued smoke and added a TBS of Worchester. I didn't have spicy brown mustard... so I used Grey Poupon. Everyone loved it!
