It's Chili by George!!
Submitted by:
George Couch
This is a good, standard chili, with lots of ground beef, tomatoes, kidney and pinto beans, and onions. It needs to simmer for 90 minutes on the stove, or can be made in a slow cooker and left to simmer all day.

Fusion Chili
Submitted by:
LONBINDER
A true fusion of 'Tex' and 'Mex' style chili. I've made this recipe dozens of times, and it is great. Each bite slowly delivers a sweet flavor followed by dry heat afterwards. It takes a while to prepare, but well worth it.

A super tasty bean salad that can almost double as a main course. A three bean medley of red kidney, pinto, and garbanzo beans, tossed with red bell pepper, marinated artichoke hearts, and feta cheese. Served chilled after marinating for only an hour in a zesty oil and vinegar dressing.

Texas Cowboy Stew
Submitted by:
GTEACHERCOOK
Hearty, filling and man-pleasing describes this stew. Link sausage, cumin, chilies, and chili powder is what gives this soup its southwest flavor. This dish is quick, easy, and tastes best when it simmers in a slow cooker or even on the stove all day. Bake some Mexican cornbread, toss a simple green salad, and you have a great meal.

Tangy Bean Soup

This soup has a great southwestern flavor and is a real winner with my family. I love it because I can have the soup cooking in my crock pot, and when I get home from work, I can quickly make the dumplings and fix dinner in a jiffy.

Super-Duper Chili
Submitted by:
Elizabeth Mays
No one ever guesses the 'secret ingredient' in this recipe that I created. A can of mushroom soup is what makes the chili so thick and creamy. Take this spicy concoction to a fall potluck or church dinner, and watch folks warm up to it! -Elizabeth Mays, Nunnelly, Tennessee

Southwest Stew
Submitted by:

Our whole family loves foods spiced with picante sauce, so I developed this recipe! This dish is very quick and easy to make, and it also reheats well. Sometimes I add cooked, sliced potatoes to the stew for a little variety, too.
